Interesting self guided tour. Huge battleship that you can take your time wandering through. Really brings a better appreciation for the men who served in that era. Especially interesting to me were the medical facilities. There are a lot of steep stairs and holds to climb over. Only the main deck is handicapped accessible. Admission includes the airplane museum and... More

This is a fun attraction. All ages enjoy. Great views of Mobile Bay. Take a look at what life was like as a sailor. Talk to a war veteran. See additional relics. You won't be disappointed

Great opportunity to see history, imagining men living and working on this ship. This site really makes you appreciate all our men & women serving our country. Since you get to see the USS Drum and the aviation museum you get lot for your money. But does require lots of walking & going up & down stairs. Tall people beware... More

This was my first time on a battleship and I found it interesting and informative. The tour is self-guided and takes you from the lower barracks to the gun turrets in any order you choose. There is also a 15 minute rolling film where you can hear the actual vets discussing their command posts which I thought was cool. Pleasant... More

We spent a couple of hours touring the USS Alabama battleship as well as the USS Drum submarine. Both were very interesting and there was a lot to explore. Nice for the kids to see what the sailors experienced during WWII. there was also a pavilion that had many planes and helicopters you could see up close and personal. Great... More

As we drove past the USS Alabama, located in scenic Mobile Bay, I teared up as I thought of the thousands of brave men and women who made this "gray lady" their home during World War 2. The huge guns protruding off the deck of ship looked so daunting as I imagined the power of this fighting machine. Please stop... More

Self Guided and fun, fun, fun. Had no idea what a battleship was like and this was so educational and helpful for what my 5th grader is learning in history. You won't be bored and you will go away feeling proud to be an American!!! Amazing what our men in the armed services do for us.
