From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 25 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well.Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. Among those, you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Also at the park, you will be able to go below and explore inside the oldest Submarine on display, Submarine USS DRUM. In the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion as well as in the park, you will be able to view many rare and historic aircraft. A very touching piece of American history. It was humbling to learn about the sacrifices of the men who fought and navigated the waters in the USS Alabama.

We took a day trip over to Mobile AL from Perdido Keys. Never been on a battle ship before did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. They have done a GREAT Job of restoring the ship. You can go on all deck ships, there are three self guided tours you can take, they good of job explaining... More

I found myself wanting to travel everywhere on the ship. And so I spent 4 hours on board checking everything out. I ran into a "barber" that actually served on the ship. He told lots of stories. Also enjoyed the sub.

What a good place for families! Going thru a battleship and submarine was extremely interesting! We talked quite a while with two people that spent that better part of 11 years restoring this sub. The young man in his 70s spent his own money and time restoring this. It was remarkable. If you ever want to go thru a submarine,... More

We have been to a number of war ship exhibits, and they all look very similar but this was the best. The thing I liked about touring the USS Alabama was that they have taken the time to set up self guided tours. When you pay your fee you get a 4 page tour guide that takes you step-by-step around... We toured this on December 26th. We were going on a cruise that day, and had some time to kill. If you bring your cruise boarding pass, you will get a discount. I think it was $2 off per person. We thoroughly enjoyed touring this boat and the submarine. My kids, ages 11 & 15, also enjoyed this tour. My... More

This place is a must if you ever visit Mobile! I took my 4 and 6 year old to visit thinking we would only spend an hour or so. However you could easily spend most of the day here. The USS Alabama is huge and you could spend hours walking through all the inside. The other military displays are also... More

USS Alabama Memorial Park is not just the battleship. There is also an aircraft display inside a hangar, a WWII submarine USS Drum, Vietnam and Korean Memorials and lots of planes, tanks, etc on the grounds. Parking is $2, entrance is $15pp with discounts for seniors, military and children. The Alabama is a self guided tour (pamphlets available) taking you... More
