Mrs McFreds idea to tour this home because of the original owners connection to NC. The docent was a very nice and informative lady and her descriptions of the building details were very interesting. The house is in great shape and the furniture is very nice and period accurate. We were forewarned about the people of Mobiles desire for everyone... More

I am so glad we took the time to go to this mansion and take the tour. It is much more beautiful than the pictures show and we weren't even there at peak azalea time. I love to tour old homes and this is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and the furniture and other items inside... More

We are delighted you enjoyed the Mansion. We enjoy meeting our guests and sharing this wonderful historical home. We are surprised and upset you felt you would be refused the use of our facilities. We would not refuse a guest in need. We do conduct tours on-the-hour, but would certainly accommodate you. Thank you for making us a part of... More

We were fortunate to be the first visitors the day we toured the home. Our guide really took time to show us the home and tell its history. Many beautiful furnishings and wonderful stories.

The guided tour was nice and very informative. You could tell our guide loved her job. It was very interesting seeing the old house and hearing about the history. If you are looking for something to do or enjoy history this is a nice place to check out. The place is also used for weddings and other social events so... More

This is a wonderful old home, often used for weddings and other special events. It is also noted to have it's own ghost. The main room was used as the ball room and has extra long windows that can be removed so that the people can move in and out to stroll the lawns in the moon light. This is... More

This mansion was built in approximately 1855 and originally owned by Judge Bragg. The guided tour was well done and very informative. The house has a circular staircase, is handicapped accessible, and has a very reasonable $10 fee. My wife and I spent about an hour and a half touring and then looking around the grounds. The mansion is well... More

Visited on the end of June 2017. Weekday visitation and the only couple there during afternoon hence it is like a private tour of the property. Very lovely mansion with stories on each corner of the room. Very well maintained and furnished elegantly. A must visit place in Mobile, Alabama.

The ideal visit for a rainy day in Alabama. Warm, friendly reception, a tour based not only on artefacts, but on the story of the house's inhabitants. Set in lovely grounds, this is a must for anyone passing through Mobile with an hour to spare. Even the teenagers enjoyed it.
