We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The costumes were absolutely amazing and our guide, Craig, was very well-educated about the history of Mardi Gras & of Mobile overall. It was the highlight of our day.

We very much enjoyed the tour lead by L Craig Roberts. He is a hoot with an incredible amount of knowledge about Mardi Gras, which started in Mobile, AL. There are many exhibits showing the "designed and made in Mobile" trains with historic fur (old,...More

I was surprised to find out Mardi Gras originated in Mobile rather than New Orleans It is a huge part of the social scene here with lavish debutante balls and 21/2 weeks of parades. Go on one of the guided tours offered here and learn...More

Our guide really made the visit, he was knowledgeable and enjoyable. Heavy on the trains of the Mardi Gras royalty from year's past, but lots of history, too. Nice 8 minute video to kick off the visit.

Loved looking at the incredible craftsmanship on the elaborate gowns and trains worn by the kings and queens of past Mardi Gras.

This museum gives a good history of carnival and how it got started in Mobile. It was a bit heavy on costumes, but hey that's probably the most important part of the canival, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Took about 45 minutes to go...More

Hi! We went on saturday, July 25th and it was $5.00 for me and my daughter and only $2.00 for my granddaughter. This is very reasonable and worth the price. I think they said they just had the one price for adults.
