There are no facades or newly constructed buildings here! Our village features completely authentic 19th and early 20th century homes and buildings that have been saved from demolition, carefully restored, and reopened to the public as a history museum. At Old Alabama Town, you will learn how early Americans of all backgrounds lived and worked in Central Alabama.

My grandson wanted to see Old Town. It was a good way for a child to learn about how things were done back in the old days.

there are 2 areas - one reflecting the living - the other reflecting working in Alabamas past. You can stroll around and visit e.g. the tavern, doctors, practice, grocery, school, cotton gin or drugstore.
