We're not particularly interested in horticulture so didn't bother with the pavilions and greenhouses. Had a good walk round and enjoyed what we saw. You can hire a boat for a ride and there's a scruffy children's play area. I should think it looks great...More

Enjoyed this oasis in Shanghai. Very clean and well maintained. I visited on a Thursday afternoon and was alone, except for the retirees playing their instruments. It was raining; the rain might have contributed to the emptiness. The Maple leaves were just starting to turn.

A great way to chill out on a sunny afternoon in Shanghai. Don't be put off by the rather uninspiring walk from Shilong Road subway station (four stops inc one change from Xujiahui). Go over the bridge from the station and head to the end...More

Such a refreshing corner of nature in Shanghai! Beautiful spring flower blooming and fall foliage. Get lost through the hills and hide away from the crowds. They also have a nice restaurant, and a playground for kids. Go early on weekends! No need to visit...More

Too crowded and dirty, not worth 15RMB , Better go to Century Park which only cost 10RMB . They only give more focus on the entrance part of the park, the other part dont have good maintenance.

I was warned that this place is really run down, dirty, polluted, and just not pretty..... By all accounts they were correct. Now one could argue that it is probably the wrong time of year to enjoy a mostly outdoor botanical garden in all its...More

You would think that a botanical garden would be elegant, grand, and serene - this place certainly is not. Costs 15 yuan to enter but special exhibitions within the "garden" will cost you extra. Perhaps it may have been the wrong time of the year...More
