The tour itself gives a value for money insight to see Shanghai. There are three routes and they are covered by the one ticket price. Typically, if you don't get off the bus for sightseeing, you can invest a half day, so the 24 hour ticket option is best. The disappointment was that at a few stops, the bus waited... More

We were in Shanghai only for one week and the bus tour was a great way to have a quick glance of all important places.

Great activity if you are a lone traveller or short on time Cost for the tour is RMD100. You can get tickets directly from some hotels or from the many ticket booths at most stops. Make sure you keep receipt- you need to constantly show it going off/on the buses You are given a map and earphones. The earphones did... More

There are better ways to spend an hour than to be stuck in traffic going on a route that you can cover by taxi in a quarter of the time and at much lower cost. I took the bus- cruise combination. The cruise was the saving grace. Just go for the cruise and get the ticket at the Shiliu Pu... More

What a wonderful way to see the sights of Shanghai! There are three bus routes, where it literally takes all day to just ride the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus with maybe two stops. We bought the 48-hour Premium tickets, which included entrance to the Bund walking tunnel (a total surprise where it's like a Disneyland ride vs walking through a tunnel... More

The bus tour is the good way to see the city if you are short of time. Though when we went they did not show all the spots. The tour respective of traffic , weather, will be completed in 40 mins. But still fun to watch all the spots seating in the open floor on the upper deck of the... More

The 2 days Hop On Hop Off ticket is very much affordable with many freebies. It takes you to all the sightseeing venues. Take the last bus to have a night view of beautiful Shanghai. In the evening must visit Shanghai Financial City area. The aquarium is the largest in the world

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
