The ferry runs a regular service between Pudong and the Bund. It only costs 2 yuan and is a great way to see both sides of the river. I particularly recommend a trip at night when all the buildings are illuminated.

The best way to cross the river and see so much of both banks :-). Cheap and cheerful but a good way to travel.

Very popular activity as the night views are spectacular. Plenty of standing room on the top deck to take photographs , It was a highlight of our Wendy Wu tour

For 2 yuan you get a great tour of the harbor. Do it at dusk for a priceless light show of Shanghai. You don't need a tour, just pay for the ferry ! 2 yuan each way per person!! Wow best price and best sights!!!

You can ride across the river and see the Bund from the water for RMB2 each way. Or walk into Lujiazui area and take metro somewhere else. A bargain!

It is a real fun experience plus an amazing view and it's basically free. Would recommend going at night. You will probably want to go there and back as there is not much on the Pudong side unless you want to walk a bit. If you want to walk & explore more there are 4 different Ferries if you follow... You can take the Shanghai offical ferry service to pass the river for 2 RMB! The office is located at the bund nearby to the more expensive river cruise companies.

If you want to head over to Lujiazui area around the Pearl Tower you can take the ferry for RMB2. They accept your public transport smart card or cash to buy a token. The trip is short but fun. On the way back make sure you take the correct line - if you want to return to the Bund, you... More

This is one of the most picturesque and value-for-money boat rides in the world (after the Star Ferry in Hong Kong). It costs 2RMB to cross from the Bund to Pudong and is a very pretty and short boat ride. It can get crowded, but you're with the locals and that's great.
