I had a guided 3-hour tour with Dennis in Hongkou area; a dip in local Shanghai Life, singing crowd in the beautiful Luxun park, wandering through back lanes and residential areas, interesting stories and a lot of knowledge about the city, ending at the slaughterhouse I got a different view and vision on life in this huge city. A walk... More

I had family come to visit me and booked a 3 hour tour of the old town with Wing as our guide. The 5 of us all thought it was fantastic. Wing took time to answer all of our questions and I loved the little things she told us about shanghai that you would never find in guide books. Sayings... More

We had a guided 3-hour tour with Lilly today for the four (adult) members of our family in the old town region of Shanghai. This was our first visit to Shanghai. Our guide Lilly was very engaging, knowledgeable, articulate and is obviously very well acquainted with Shanghai. She was able to convey an immense amount of information and detail about... More

A friend of ours recommended Noodle Tours and Dana in particular. We were not disappointed! We'd expressed an interest in street food and met up with Dana late afternoon for a visit to Qiboa - the closest of the ancient waterfront towns which although on the metro system still gives a different view of the Shanghai area. The old town... More

I have travelled to Shanghai several times a year for business and thought that I knew the town. This was until I contacted Noodle Tours and received a great tour of the Old Shanghai areas and forgotten back alley neighborhoods. Beautiful architecture was seen, nice local people offering up smiles and an all around great experience seeing a forgotten part... More

I live in Shanghai and when ever guests come into town I am booking a local tour. Noodle tours has been an excellent resource and the last two tours I did with Dennis were very exciting to get the deeper knowledge of the town. Dennis constructs the tour very interesting and interacts with the local people. He has a good... More

I was in Shanghai for a short business trip and had the Sunday to see some of the city. Ran across Noodle Tours on-line, and after reading all the positive reviews, decided to give it a try. Dana was very personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She took me on the Old Town tour, to see Shanghai city... More

My husband and I had a wonderful morning touring the old town with Dana. She was very knowledgeable and informative. She also shared many of her own stories as we wandered down the narrow streets and alleys. What a fascinating insight into life in Shanghai which we would never have seen on our own. Dana was very easy to chat... More

To explore Shanghai in the heat of August with two reluctant children of 7 and 9 can be a challenge, but our tour with Dennis through the old town helped a lot. He showed the street life and all hidden charms of the city, which we otherwise would surely have missed. We had a great tour! Thanks Dennis.

We had a fabulous walking tour with Judith. She took our family to see the amazing activities in Fuxing Park, the French consession areas, back streets, old Shanghai streets, a temple, Yu Yuen gardens and we tried local snacks and braved the subway and more! She was very knowledgable, kind, funny and patient. An absolutely wonderful day!
