The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

take the time to just absorb this section of Shanghai. The river and buildings on both sides depicting the new and the old is quite fascinating

This was a beautiful walk. It was hot out ...but Pepsi set up water misters everywhere to cool down. Great views of the cool architecture in Shanghai. Lots of vendors selling pop and snacks etc

Riverside promenade of the bund is a nice platform to walk along while you enjoy the display of LED lights by the buildings : old and new shanghai. but avoid weekends can be very crowded.

The two things are completely different. The promenade is a nice place for a stroll or walk. Just have a nice time taking in the sights and enjoying the view.
