Delightfully spacious and well-lit aquarium filled with a great selection of Asian fish. The highlight is the impressive tunnels where you under the tanks and surrounded by fish.

I'm rating this attraction with two stars. I wouldn't say there's a fatal flaw like bad maintenance or poor treatment of animals. Truthfully, I'm not qualified to assess how well the animals are housed, so I'll refrain from doing so. That said, I found the...More

As title suggested, nothing much you can see here that you haven't seen before elsewhere. Number of exhibits were not much. For some weird reason many parts of the aquarium was dark or dimly lit. It was crowded and full of locals. Beware they can...More

This is a good place to take family or just go spend some time looking at amazing fish . The tour can take up to 3 hrs or more if you take in the shows. I've gone twice now.

Going there to get out of the hot sun I was quite disappointed with the displays and the crowds. Some areas and tanks do not look wildlife friendly. Seals seems to be stir crazy in small tanks. I felt I was trapped for 10 minutes...More

Got around in 2.5 hours during peak season. Wouldn't recommend going in July-August. Every Chinese tourist feels the need to take a picture of EVERY tank, including selfies and alot of pushing. Queue time to buy a ticket outside took around ~30 minutes. This was...More

Really beautiful marine life, split into China, Australian, Amazon and polar life. The 150m underwater tunnel was impressive, the travellator very slow. Good traffic flow system. Don't go in summer vacation (July-August)! Some tanks we just had to pass because there were too many 'tank-hoggers'...More

The entire aquarium is in domes meaning u see aquatic life above and below you. I personally like animals in their natural habitat so this did not really impress me. You could pass this aquarium.

.The price per adult is 160 yuan. You can spend your time better in Shanghai than visiting this aquarium.
