I live close to Century Park and it is a must-go place especially when you have kids. I take my son there on weekends and let me run around to enjoy the greenery and also be able to socialize with other kids present there. If you are going there regularly, you better apply for a year-long card (年卡 in Chinese):... More

This is one of the few parks in Shanghai where there is an entrance fee. And with payment, the expectations are big.. and unfortunately, this park's biggest attraction is just that - it is big. Plenty of space to meander around. There are other attractions (like boating), but they are not well maintained which makes one wonder where does the... More

We live in Shanghai, very close to Century Park, and it is one of the favourite places to take our two kids. In a concrete jungle like Shanghai, having a massive park of green is wonderful. On the weekdays, it’s relatively quiet (by Shanghai standards) meaning you’ve got a huge expanse of forest, light mangrove and grass to fly a... More

This park had a real Autumn feel to it. I went in the evening for a stroll. It shuts at 6. Takes a few hours to walk. Very clean and well kept. Must see in Shanghai. Lots of happy coupes and families. Would make a great bike ride. Location. CENTURY PARK mtr. Cost 10 rmb

It's a big green space that is popular with locals and tourists. There is a small entry fee and you have to pay if you want to use the bikes or boats but nothing costs too much. Easy to just stroll around and enjoy the views.

Century Park presents a very different face of Shanghai - calm, quiet and entirely natural. It is spectacularly beautiful and offers a green heaven for visitors and residents of Shanghai a sanctuary from the stresses of the modern life. I was simply blown away by the park and I must say that it was very well planned and maintained. I... More

Very refreshing park, I like the river and the autumn trees. Need at least 2 hours to go around. Sad that we lost when we came here by subway and drop off at Science Technology Museum, I had only google map but I couldn't find. So what we did we go around the science technology park and it has a... More

This is not a place to must visit but if you want to relax in a sunny day and breath some fresh air you can visit this place. There are make hotels nearby, if you are planning to stay in shanghai for long you can make reservation nearby hotels and enjoy a good jog

Century park is complex place indeed. The most important thing about it is that it's huge, green and quite. Basically everyone can find something to his/her taste: it can be lovely to walk around with your family, with stroller (there are many benches); for toddlers to play sand at the big lake shore (west coast); take pedal or motor powered... Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
