Great place right on the edge of Alajuela. We had limited time and not transportation but were still able to spend and enjoyable afternoon viewing first rate exhibits (plant and animal).

I did not see visitors with pets. This is likely because you will see Iguanas walk across the walkways in front of you. There are Peacocks freely walking in the Zoo and Macaws out not in cages.
