I took a Canoa Adventure day tour our of La Fortuna to the Cano Negro Wildlife Reserve. Our group spent about 2.5 - 3 hours cruising on the river viewing caimans and tropical birds --this was pleasant. This tour didn't involve any vigorous walking. Canoa provided a guide who spoke English and French. The lunch was good. The trip from... More

We went on this tour on an afternoon in January. It was well-operated and the guides were pleasant. We two were in kayaks while the rest of the group shared a raft. Unfortunately we didn't see much in the way of wildlife - probably due to our choice to do an afternoon float (instead of morning) and also because our... More

The shuttle arrived at our hotel for pick up right on time. Pierre was our guide and he was outstanding. He spoke very good English. The driver of the shuttle van did a very good job. He stopped along the way as we seen wildlife. They also stopped at a little restaurant area to see the Iguana's in the trees... More

We took this tour as a group of 4. It was a long ride from La Fortuna, but the tour guide was very knowledgeable & shared a lot of interesting information en-route. The iguana stop on the way was quite interesting. The highlight was the boat tour & seeing all the wildlife & birds. We are not birders, but according... More

Really enjoyed this laid back way to see some more of Costa Rica. Our guide Jorge took excellent care of us and pointed out loads of wildlife including sloths, toucans and crocodiles. One couple fell in but never felt in any danger as Jorge got them back in their canoe quickly and safely. Stopped at a local finca for coffee... More

Canoa Aventura is a wonderful and small tour operator in La Fortuna. Their brochure was picturesque and self explanatory. I took wildlife volcano tour with a well informed guide Martin. An energetic guide who spoke English well. This company was punctual and organized. This company has a website as many hotels do not sell their tours

This is hands down the best tour company in all of La Fortuna. After booking tours with other companies that were a bit boring my friend and I booked this company and we stuck with them for the rest of our time. We did their Safari River Raft, the Canoeing, and the Night Walk. All were incredible and we saw... More

We did the safari float down the Rio Penas Blancas. What a great time we had, we saw howler monkeys, toucan's, crocodiles, and many birds!!! Our guide, Jorge, was great, very informative and a lot of fun. The mid way stop was also very interesting at a home with only river access and very primitive. Great trip I would highly... More

We had planned a kayak trip on the river with this company, but due to the height of the river and the fast pace, we switched to a raft tour. We are glad that we did. Our guide Jorge was terrific. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and trees along the river. He had a great sense of humor... More

We took the PM rafting tour. It was rainy day - so it was disappointing tour. Yes - the team are very nice and friendly and the tour can be great - but with this weather - we didn't saw almost any animal or attraction along the river. It can be great tour when weather permit
