We arranged a private tour for 5 people and we were glad we did, I only wish we had booked a little longer, time flew by! Being it was a private tour we did get to control the length of time we stopped to take...More

What a great day. The family really knows the business. Fabricio was our guide. Diego was our driver. We hired them for a great day. Although we rented a car, having a driver to navigate for us was much better. Fabricio explained so many things...More

We very much enjoyed the boat tour with our guide Fabricio. However, my husband and I both got food poisoning from the lunch - up all night vomiting - miserable. We were able to narrow it down to the pork - because that is the...More

We went on this tour 12 years ago and were disappointed when guides fed the crocodiles and monkeys, which made the animals aggressive and the whole experience nasty. This time we were observers of nature rather than disrupters. We saw just as much wildlife, learned...More

Early morning start, 5.00am for this trip from Guanacaste. Well worth the effort. A longish coach journey took us to Palo Verde where we boarded a 30 or so seat river boat although there were only a few of us on board, and proceeded almost...More

Sorry for my tardiness. No, not a lot of walking at all. Very enjoyable. Mostly boat riding...
We want to go to Palo Verde and grab a boat tour early in the morning on the 13th - Any suggestions of a place to stay that is close? We are happy with a hostel or something similar... Also, it sounds like making a reservation with a tour company is not necessary because locals are happy to oblige - is this correct?
