We took the "Natural history" guided tour at 38 USD per person. It was very good. It lasted 2.5 to 3 hours. The guide was very professional and well equipped (a laser to point things, flash light, telescope, bird book, googles). The park is very...More

Went with my wife and 5 year old son and we all enjoyed it immensely. Beautfiul bridges, waterfalls and more and a tour guide who was so informative and sweet. Definitely a must if you have time and are in the area.

The views were breathtaking. The bridges were high, but stable. We were able to see the volcano. This is an easy and peaceful hike for all ages.

Did the 1.9 mile hike in the morning. Took about 2 hours with no tour guide. I saw some monkeys, birds, and cool insects, but not much else. If you really want the full experience, I would probably recommend a guide, but if you just...More

Due to constant rain on our hike, we weren't able to enjoy the rainforest. Our guide, although friendly, seemed more focused on keeping us moving then providing interesting info. to enhance the journey.

I have been to Arenal many times and never until now visited Mistico. I wish I would have found it sooner. Great adventure and experience. Must do with guide, Yahaira! She is great with kids(adults too) and takes amazing pictures for you through her telescope.

We book Pura Vida Tours (Roy) to visit the bridges. I'm sure anyone and everyone would enjoy this on their own. If you enjoy nature. But the chances of really seeing the animals and the birds I would think is pretty slim, without an excellent...More

While there is not an age limit per say, these would be some things to consider: 1) Are you able to keep your 3 year old on the path at all times without any fear of him wandering off or touching the leaves or flowers? We... More

Not really. The path is a loop. The only thing you could really do is walk to the first bridge, turn around, and meet your party back at the beginning.
