We took a guided tour of the hanging bridges and got to see lots of creatures we would not have spotted on our own including a tiny but beautiful frog that had a red body and bright blue legs. We also saw snakes and spiders and learned the difference between poisonous and venomous. We even saw a sloth that was... More

The hike was awesome, even in the rain. Be sure to bring a poncho. You are sure to get wet. We saw lots of critters.

This is a nice activity to do around Lake Arenal. We arrived pretty early in the day, it wasn't too busy when we started out. They insist you wear closed shoes (not even the more rugged sandal), so be prepared with shoes or you sign a waiver. They also tried to get us to rent a stroller for our 10... More

This place was fantastic. We arrived when it was raining, but it quickly cleared up on our guided hike. Our guide was really insightful and pointed out many animals - snakes, ants, hummingbirds, monkeys - that we would've otherwise missed were we on our own. And the hike was quite manageable for our family, including both kids. Our guide was... More

This attraction is a fairly easy walk through the jungle canopy, crossing multiple bridges, some of them suspended high above the canyon floors, with splendid views of the vegetation, animals (howler monkeys!), and birdlife.

We booked this excursion with Costa Rica Vacations. I am so glad we had this on our itinerary and that we had a guided tour. Our guide pointed out so many animals and birds that we would not have seen otherwise. The hanging bridges are very cool. There was one that had such an amazing view of Costa Rica. It... More

Great park for seeing animals, but hire a guide otherwise you will walk right past many of them. The trails are not paved like in Mistico but still a gorgeous park, not to be missed.

It was a bit expensive but well worth it. Went with the family and really enjoyed it. The first hanging bridge had the best view. Great place for pictures. If you're quiet enough, you can see some wildlife. We took the kids so we only saw a few animals but they still thought it was wonderful.

At first I have to admit, we had expected a lot from the Hanging Bridges, seing all these amazing ratings, so we went there to give it a try. First negative aspect: 26$ entrance fee per person. Quite a lot for walking around yourself. With starting to walk we noticed, that this is going to be less than expected. Very... More
