There is no entrance fee as such - just a donation as you see fit. Far more natural than Manuel Antonio and with much the same wildlife sightings without the elite guide secrecy thing going on.

A really nice park, entrancefee you can decide how much you give yourself. The walking area is long enough for a really nice walk. It was our first park of our trip trough Costa Rica and allready we saw plentyfull of animals. Also nice feature is the beacharea.

We took the bus to Cahuita from our bungalow spent a couple of hours walking around the park. It's truly wild, and a path is not always clear which adds to the charm. We didn't get to see any animals (a private tour would have probably fixed that) but the park itself was stunning.

Most of the trek happened to be under water when we visited but even this 1,5 km was worth the walk. It was free (they accept donations if you want to donate) and we were able to see sloths, monkeys, world's 4th most dangerous yellow snake and bunch of exotic butterflies with beatiful colours. It is very nice and I... More

We drove 3 hours from inland and it was worth the drive! Gorgeously peaceful, wide, clean, jungle trail walk with access to the white sandy beach along the way. The water was warmer than Hawaii, Cuba, Mayan Riviera, Southern Florida, and definitely California. We saw an array of birds, some sloths, and a hollar monkey. If we had more time... More

Absolutely phenomenal! I would recommend a guide to get full potential of spotting fascinating animals! If you are not attuned to what's there you will have a hard time finding the animals (sloths in particular). I would also recommend visiting the whole park. The north end is the popular part but the south end is worth visiting! The park closes... More

First of all: Don't expect to be in a zoo ! During a stroll (round course is 10 km, the last 2 km are next to the highway. Otherwise you can go back earlier) you can experience rainforest. And, being attentive, you can see some animals....monkeys, birds including tucane, spiders, squirrels etc. Due to a guides hint we saw two... More
