We enjoyed the ride on the aerial tram as well as the walk to the waterfall. Don't be put off by the steps - they are a combination of up and down. The park guide was so enthusiastic we had to enjoy the animals she described. We arranged our own tour with Oscar Brown's company and the driver was so... More

Fabulous experience. Didn't do zip line. Felt sorry for those doing it, since it,was drizzling pretty hard. Frog, butterfly and orchid exhibits were very well done. A glimpse of the native Indians handmade objects and a close up of their dress or shall I say state of undress was interesting. No body shame there.

We visited this site on a private tour from our cruise ship. The drive to the forest takes place on dry bumpy roads, so best to sit in the front. We did the Aerial tram ride which is very good but was basically 8 mins down at a very slow pace, get off and walk to the waterfall on the... More

I'm glad I did it, but it was 4 hours on a chartered bus for a 50 minute ride in the rain forest. The cool thing was the bus had wifi so it made the trip out and back a little better since I could connect with people back home while up in the mountains. Overall, average though and fairly... More

We did the rainforest walk and zip line tour (cost US$170) from our cruise ship for the day (Holland America). From Puerto Limon our luxurious A/C bus took us cleanly past the many streets city slums surrounding the port in this 3rd world city and into the mountains of Costa Rica. The drive was about 30 miles and took about... More

Don't think "Veragua" is the area we actually went through but It was on narrow back country dirt roads. The Guide & the Driver were knowledgable and fully explained everything we saw and didn't see. An inexpensive tour lasting just over 3 hours which included a number of stops and a picnic.(Beer was free)

We booked this tour through our cruise ship. We enjoyed the trip very much. We did not see a lot of wildlife but when you think about how could you expect that. A group of people wandering through the forest talking is most likely to scare it away. The exhibits are well designed. I enjoyed the frogs and the butterflies.... More

Loved the opportunity to walk through the forest, visit the research station, have lunch there and see some amazing animals and reptiles. I did not walk to the waterfall but my husband did and took some amazing photos. I loved the opportunity to see the butterfly exhibit and to see the monkeys high in the trees. Would highly recommend taking... More
