We had done several other night walks in various parts of CR during our trip. This was by far the worst. With over 100 people roaming the same 20 acres, they were doing more scaring of the animals than finding them. In other walks we...More

The night tour was quite magical with head lamps, humidity beyond belief and witnessing the world of amphibians and reptiles awaken. The sounds of the winds rustling through trees bent due to the airmass clash, we saw sleeping rain frogs and bugs. We also saw...More

First and foremost, cloud forest, without clouds. So we got there, well dressed for this perilous adventure. We were not sure about bringing our son Tedward, as he tries to pick up and eat insects back in Georgia. But we did, and lord was it...More

Johnny, our guide, was amazing, informative and very funny. We were able to see a green viper, a tarantula, two kinkajous and more. He was able to tell us about the ecosystem and the animals, and also show us where some “hiding spots” are, like...More

Lots of visitors but extremely well organised from pick up from hotel to return back. Our group was quite small with 7 people. Our guide was so competent and patient by telling us so many funny stories and background of the nature. Highly recommended!

Johnny Villegas, our guide, was amazing at finding creatures of the night forest. Green viper, kinkajou, sleeping toucanet, guan, and armadillos. This was done in the less visited Aguti Reserve.

Be prepared to walk up and down lots of hills and stairs. Very interesting. Even if you don’t see many nocturnal animals it’s still really cool hiking at night in the rain forest and listening to the night sounds

If you want to see t Wildlife while in Costa Rica you must go the night walk! We saw a sloth, green viper, tucan, walking stick, frog, tarantula, and much more. This is well worth the adventure.

We enjoyed getting to see the active life of the nocturnal animals. The trails were a little crowded but the guides helped each other to make sure we saw interesting things. Worth the time and money.

There were none whatsoever in December. We did get bitten by army ants however. Wearing socks, boots and perhaps tucking your pants in to your socks or wearing pants with a fitted cuff would protect you.

When we were there, the guide lead us around and seemed to know the places where some of the animals make their homes. The birds and sloths were high up in the trees and didn't bother anyone. The spiders and tree vipers were... More
