We had fun hiking to the first pool. We were two families with kids from 3-11. It was challenging for the youngest kids, but we went slowly and made it. Wear sneakers and expect to get muddy and to swim at the end. Don't wear...More

sweet water, jumping off the falls, walking up through the rainforest- definitely liked it! make sure you go there either barefoot or with some hiking boots kind of shoes, because the path is quite muddy and you will have to cross the stream at some...More

The falls are pretty hard to get to on foot - wear sensible shoes! We also went a couple of days after a big storm, so I think the water must be muddier than normal. As a result the water gave me an ear infection....More

Cheap to park at the base, but avoid anyone leading you up the trail, as they are going to ask for a pretty good sum of money at the end, when it is quite easy to traverse without having been. There's another natural pool above...More

These beautiful falls are an easy walk and are close to the downtown area of Montezuma. The walk is going up the river, probably about 30 minutes and then you'll find these pristine waters where you can swim.

This is a very nice water fall, very touristic (not like the one in Paquera/Rio Grande) and to get there you need to climb and hold on some places a robe to get to the other site. Not easy with kids under 8 or adults...More

If you enjoy hiking and beautiful landscapes, this is the place for you. Right on the edge of downtown Montezuma is a parking lot where you must pay roughly $2 (4000 colons) to park. We had ATVs and everything was safe. If it has been...More

Excellent adventure. Look for a local named Jason that stands near the bridge. He will take a small fee for parking $2 USD and will walk you all the way to the waterfalls.....which is a serious hike. We would have never found it if it...More
