This is a beautiful and newer museum with modern architecture. There are five (5) floors of art that represent Costa Rican culture. The museum is well thought out and organized. It was a nice little surprise.

Fantastic exhibition of precolombian history. Five floors building fully packed with precolombian ceramic, gold and jade objects. Very well presented with interactive possibilities for younger visitors. Good visual displays and good enough explanations to keep you informed and curious. Staff friendly and helpful.

Nice museum, though a bit spread out. The multiple floors and lack of signage made it a bit confusing as to where to go next. But, the pieces were interesting and we spent a good amount of time there. So, I would recommend this museum....More

The museum is beautiful, a lot of artifacts and interactions but also I believe it was too expensive for what it is. Basically 5 floors of similar artifacts for a $15.00 entrance fee for tourists.

Yes you may. They have a very small souvenir shop. I found the prices to be a bit high, but that seems to be standard at museums.
