This is the MOST beautiful public beach in all of Moorea. We have driven around the whole island and visited all the public beaches and accesible beaches, and hands down this is the most idyllic beach. With white sand and the most clearest blue waters (thanks to the color of the sand underneath). You can swim towards the Sofitel and... More

Beautiful public beach on the island of Moorea - reasonably clean and with bathroom facilities. The lagoon is fantastic - clear turquioise waters you never want to leave...

Best beach in Moorea where you can experience island lifestyle as a local without the tourist hordes. The water is crystal clear and having the views of the mountains and Tahiti on the other side was truly magic!

Absolutely beautiful beach, the lagoon stretches far so swimming, snorkeling and other water activities are amazing. the sand is great, lots of shade trees and a couple of playing fields there as well.

We went to Tamae Beach on the weekend. Hundreds of locals were playing a boche ball type game and it was fun to watch. We came here to snorkel, but we found the healthy coral was a little farther out then we felt comfortable snorkeling. So we rented a glass bottom kayak from a vendor set up on the weekend.... More

Nice beach facing Tahiti. The outer reef breaks up the waves making this a great place to snorkel. Walk to the north end of the beach, swim out 100meters and you will find the healthiest corals, clearest water and the most fish.

My wife and I stopped by here in order to take a look as it looked like a locals beach. What a wonderful experience. It had the best swimming in Moorea. It is not a snorkeling spot as far as I could see. Some people mentioned snorkeling, but it's a pretty large beach, so I may be missing something there.... More

We went back to this beach several times. Snorkeling was fun, super clear water, and there were lots of locals having fun. We swam out a little further and saw some great fish while snorkeling. When a family set up their steak frites stand, even better!

The water is crystal-clear all around Moorea. You may see sea urchins, sea cucumbers, damsel fish, Picasso fish and more. Bring your snorkel and fins. Sometimes this beach has a strong current.

This is worth a pit stop to get pictures while driving around the island. Nice park and also visited by locals for picnics. The beach was pretty good and hardly had any people..
