Great day out, lovely staff, knowledgeable. I haven't been diving for a couple years, but they were patient and helpful and obviously take safety and certifications seriously which is reassuring. They did not dive for several days due to weather even when others did go out as would rather be safe than make money in poor conditions. Would recommend and... More

Hubby signed up to do a refresher PADI course which he enjoyed. As with diving it is always a lottery with the weather so he didn't manage to do a dive trip but that was okay. The staff were very friendly and told us all the good snorkeling spots to visit on the island which we very much appreciated. Next... More

We were in Rarotonga in February, and it is hurricane season. Before our trip I scoured the inter-web for info on the Cook Island diving and couldn't find much. Scuba Board pans the CI but I found some good reviews on Trip Advisor. So we schlepped our dive equipment to Rarotonga and contacted Dive Rarotonga since I had picked the... More

We Dived with Dive Raro during a prolonged south easterly gale. The seas were easing but still choppy and we set out from the Avarua harbour to a dive site just out of the harbour. It was still quite rough and waiting on the anchor line for the rest of the trip to make their way into the water and... More

Just completed my OW certification to come on this trip. Worried I might hold back the experienced divers on the boat, but the good stuff here is not that deep. They picked locations to hide from the daily winds, and managed to improve my skills while everyone else had a good time too! Having a skipper remain on the boat... More

I have dived in many countries and hold instructing and technical qualifications so it was a delight to dive with them. The rental gear was of good quality and serviced. They are the only operators on the island qualified to test and service cylinders and regulators. The dive management was impeccable, I realise that for me, the diving was relatively... More

i have been diving since 1995 and dived all over the world. Dive Rarotonga have to rate as one of the best outfits and certainly the most safety conscious. Great local knowledge and very accomodating in varying the dive sites. I did 12 dives in all and had the pleasure of shark, turtles, wrecks and great coral gardens along the... More

My wife and I had scheduled a dive before we left the states and when we arrived she was feeling a little nervous since it was only her 3rd open water dive. She is PADI certified but wanted something easy. We walked down to the shop and discussed our options. The owner and one of the dive masters were exceptionally... More

Husband and two kids did the open water padi course and were extremely happy with the professionalism of dive rarotonga over the 4 days of the course. They put safety above all else and have excellent instructors and equipment. Everyone learnt a lot and had a ball. Tip: make sure you allow enough time to complete the theory before arriving... We dove a total of 7 days with Dive Rarotonga and enjoyed every minute. Karen, Paul, and Ed were awesome and did everything in their power to make sure we had a good experience. If we make it back to the Cook Islands (I hope we do), we will definitely be diving with these guys again.
