The Cook Islands Whale and Wildlife Centre has something for everyone. Young and old, conservationists,fishermen, whale, shark, turtle, fish, crab lovers....A huge variety of displays, and you can touch them! An exciting Live Creature section including Tropical fish filled aquariums, Rocky the Stonefish, gigantic Coconut Crabs, and more...Photography allowed. Big Screen, Interactive Computer programmes, DVD Stations, WIFI, Wheelchair Access, Child friendly, . Cafe and Souvenir Shop on site. Open Sunday to Friday 10am to 4pm. Tickets last a year; Adults $12, children $6 with group and family discounts. Every admission helps support the 'Whale research project' so you help save Whales and Dolphins!

Really enjoyed this small but interesting museum. Great that you can pick things up and have a good look. Found the staff very helpful and enjoyed a good cup of coffee here.

A good place to go if you want to see the infamous coconut crab. There is food and great coffee as you enter and staff are very friendly. Very informative with displays that you can touch and pick up, and a hands on rock pool...More

We had a great few hours exploring this small but interesting museum. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic and encouraged us to look and explore. We found the videos really good and enjoyed seeing Rocky! It is good value for money as your entry...More

Hmmm..on the contrary. We spend our day discussing the Centre Exhibits, Whale watchng, environmental issues etc with our customers...unless we are too busy making fabulous coffee. An area of the Centre has Whale Information and Whales but 80% covers the rest of the Wildlife and...More

It doesn't look very exciting, but do go there - even if it is to chat with the staff and buy one of the best coffees you'll get on the island. See if you can get there with the stone fish gets feed.
