Our guides were helpful and accommodating, and the glacier trek was excellent! The ice caves were a particular highlight. ABAK provided snacks, water and waterproof gear for us.

This kayaking trip was one of the coolest things we did in Alaska. The boat captain that took us to our target island was polite and even took us off the beaten path to hang around some whale watchers in hopes of catching a glimpse,...More

Hello! We've signed up for the Mendenhall Glacier Canoe Paddle & Trek tour in June. 1. I understand we should layer our cloths, is down jacket suitable as the insulation layer? 2. would comfortable jeans or warm leggings be suitable? 3. Do we need to bring extra shoes for the tour? 4. Will you be providing crampons or hiking shoes for trekking? If you're providing crampons for trek, will normal running/sport shoes be suitable? 5. How likely will we get wet throughout the trip? Do we need to walk in water? 6. Can we bring a set of dry cloths to be kept in your office, for change when we return from the tour? Thanks!

What are the chances of getting to see ice caves in Mid May? Several reviews state that it is extremely unlikely as the ice is very unstable at this time.
