We travelled to Taku Lodge via Wings Airways and will book it again on our next trip to Juneau. We visited in Sep 2016 via NCL Pearl. Pick up at the ship was flawless. Flight to Taku Lodge cannot be described. Over flew multiple glaciers. Visit to Taku Lodge was an event! Bourbon and glacier ice... yes. Lunch was top... More

This was our excursion in Juneau while on an Alaska cruise. We'd heard so many great things about this trip, and it did not disappoint. Wings Airways was easy to work with; I contacted them month in advance to secure our spot. Their directions for getting ourselves (an easy walk) from the, dock to their office were clear and easy... Amazing experience to take flight from the water, then to get to see the stunning landscape from the air. Decent amount of time up in the air to catch the sights

As a local I've done a lot of trips around the area and this is one of the bests. It's a perfect way to see the ice fields and glaciers and take in some wilderness along the way. The staff are so great and knowledgeable about the area. The owners are all local which helps. The Lodge is delightful and... More

The sightseeing from the plane was ok, were able to get a glimpse into icefield which was pretty spectacular but the commentary ruined the experience for me. They played a completely outdated pre recorded narrative during the flight. It was so incorrect and antiquated that I left feeling offended. I was so shocked at the way it portrayed glacial health... Getting to the Taku Glacier Lodge was an adventure in itself. The only way to get here is via a seaplane and boy was that a breathtaking ride especially with all the sightseeing wherein you get to see quite a few glaciers along the way. Once you land on the Lodge, there's is much to do. They fed us salmon... More

One of the coolest experiences I have ever been on! Our pilot was such an incredible guide and teacher. The views you witness are breathtaking and are memories to last a lifetime! Worth every penny you will not be disappointed! Love the float plane experience so smooth and every passenger had their own window view! We were here in May... More

We chose the Glacier tour sans Taku Lodge. We loved it! It is expensive but if I could choose only one Alaska tour, this would be it. We've never been in a float plane so that alone was pretty cool and to see those mountains and glaciers from the air, it was breathtaking. I got there early to see if... More

I booked a flight for glacier viewing but when our ship arrived in port the cloud cover was pretty total and when we got to the hut we were told the flight was cancelled. We were offered a later slot when the weather was expected to clear but unfortunately we were unable to do this due to another commitment. The... More
