We traveled with a friend using a walker. The tram was very easy to negotiate for him. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. They made a point to be sure he could see the view well from his location in the car. It helped...More

You can go for a few minutes or stay a couple of hours to walk around, see the movie, shop, and snack. Fabulous views.

The views spectacular and if you are afraid of heights, not to worry. You are at the top of the mountain fast. The guy going up with us brought his Native American drum and thanked us for the nicest weather ever.

This place is amazing...amazing that word doesn't cover the awe and splendor but hopefully it will get you to buy a day ticket to ride up and down as much as you'd like it is $30+ each but at the top of the tram is...More

If you are lucky enough to have the gorgeous weather we enjoyed this is a must. The view from the top is spectacular. We had an afternoon excursion scheduled so we didn't have enough time to truly enjoy all the activities at the top but...More

The tram ride is quick but be warned that it's expensive (although you can go up and back as often as you want in one day) and the view, even after hiking further up for 10 minutes, is not as panoramic as you might think...More

From onboard the ship, this looked like a bit of a carnival ride, but once inside, it felt very safe and secure. We saw a bald eagle on the way up, and walked the trail to the first lookout once we got to the top....More

The Tramway offers spectacular views of the Gastineau Channel, Juneau and the surrounding mountains. We arrived first thing in the morning, before the cruise ship crowds arrived, and hiked the trails up on the mountain. The trails are well marked and maintained, surrounded by lovely...More

This was an awesome experience. The tram itself offers breathtaking views of the port. But once you are at the top, there's more to see. We got an up close look at a bald eagle (injured and unable to be released into the wild), gorgeous...More

No reservation. Just walk up and buy a ticket. You can see the tram entrance as your ship pulls in. I walked off my boat and was at the ticket office in 5 minutes. Based upon your time window, you could hike back into town... More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
