If you're looking for extensive hiking and vistas, you may be disappointed on low days with low-level clouds, i.e. can't see the top of the tram from the bottom. If you want a relatively easy walk in a very representative area of forest in Southeast...More

Riding the tramway affords tourists spectacular views, great photo opportunities, hiking, as well as dining and shopping options. This is a great adventure to the top of Mount Roberts via the Tram. You get on the tram, essentially at the ship docks, and rise almost vertical through the clouds up into the coniferous canopy above. At the top there is a restaurant, theatre,...More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
