The Tramway takes you up to just over 1700 feet. Restaurant and Gift Shops at the top. Great Views of Juneau and the Channel below. Visit the Raptor Center and see LADY BALTIMORE, then take the Alpine Trail to visit Father Brown's Cross (about 2700...More

The tram itself is very quick, and lots of people at the top, and bit touristy, but that is its main purpose. A few minutes hiking up the trail and people thin out a bit, and moreso the farther you go. Beautiful views every direction.

We went up just to look around. It was an unusual clear day, and as stated elsewhere, the views are stunning. We did not hike around, but that is probably the main reason to go there. The so called "raptor center" is really a small...More

I went up this twice during my recent visit to Juneau. The tramway is hard to miss if you arrive in Juneau by cruise ship as it is right at the port. The hike at the top and the nature center are both worth going...More

Juneau trolley is a very steep climb and gives you great views of the harbour. It is owned and operated by the local First Nation tribes and the conductors were both very interesting and entertaining on the journey up and down, I learnt a lot,...More

The ride to the top is fun and sometimes you get an entertaining car operator. But there is not much more at the top than pretty views. The nature center is little more than a gift shop. There are some trails but they were muddy...More

We went up there May 17. There was still snow on the top but it was still safe enough to walk around. The views were amazing. And even with the snow, flowers were coming up. There are easy hikes, walks, hikes or if you have...More

The tram afforded a magnificent view across the port and surrounding area. I thought it was a little pricey but with not so many attractions nearby, perhaps it is in order to sustain it.

The tramway was walking distance from the dock. Easy to get on. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Great views from the trails on top

I thought the price was a little expensive, $33 per person, but it's a something different and stunning views. We also got to see an eagle rescued after being shot and is now used for education purposes. There is a restaurant at the top and...More

No reservation. Just walk up and buy a ticket. You can see the tram entrance as your ship pulls in. I walked off my boat and was at the ticket office in 5 minutes. Based upon your time window, you could hike back into town... More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
