I understand that breweries aren't everyone's idea of a good time, but if you do like that kind of thing, check this place out. Very small tasting room, tours of the facility only during summer. Some decent merchandise for sale, and lots of good beer. Grab a glass or 3 tasters and have a chat with the super friendly staff.... More

Place stinks like a...wait for it....a brewery! Floors are sticky, prices are silly high. wait staff for samplers are friendly. Only beer worth drinking is the Amber. They try and try to come up with new recipes but the only one that's any good is the one they copied. They are not an environmentally minded business. They produce a lot of... More

We arrived by our cruise ship and took a 10 min cab ride. We had two junior high kids with us and they liked it also, it has neat things for sale in addition to beer. Very family friendly, not real big but worth going to. By some random chance we bumped into our next door neighbors in Texas...pretty funny.... More

Awesome beers, some nice curios in the store, and did I mention awesome beer? A great place to go on a wet day, and if you are fed up with glaciers, parks, wildlife and shopping, a great place to go. Awesome staff and awesome beer, could not ask for better.

Encouraged by friends who visited the brewery a few years prior we ventured to The Alaska Brewery after our whale watching expedition and so happy we did. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly staff of good bartenders who you can tell really enjoyed what they were doing. Kelly (one of the bartenders) immediately... More

We had a cruise stop in Juneau. In our downtown walk, we came across Alaska Brewing Company. Upon ente2, it was a quaint bar and the greet was good. We were sat and we had a server Michael. He suggested several entrees and which were helpful. We had the halibut plate and of corse craft beers. The service was great... More

The beers are excellent, very fresh (obviously) and great flavor, and I'm not a huge beer drinker. This is a fun place to visit, lots of great souvenirs and they let you try 3 samples just for stopping bye! Everyone was welcoming. We wish they had food though, we came after a hike and starving, there's no places to sit... More

Stopping in for a tour and some samples. Great, cheerful staff ready and willing to talk beer and share their knowledge. Blake was our Tour Guide, and was a regular fountain of knowledge about Company history, types of beer, and general questions. We had a great time with his group. Nice selection of beers in the gift shop, as well... More

This was our 6th trip to Juneau so we'd done most of the typical tourist things that weren't costing over $100pp. For $20 you get a short tour of the town and get to escape the crowds of tourists. The tour of the brewery was short but informative and the group was given a couple of tasters during the tour... More

We were amazed at the variety of beers brewed here, as we only get Amber in Wisconsin! You get three free tastings, which I though was great! There's only standing room in the tasting area, but lots of merchandise to look at and lots of fun people! We didn't take the tour, but you should!
