I have been on some whale watching cruises in California and Boston and this was an entirely different and wonderful experience. Our guide was a professional cetologist who spends winters in Hawaii and summers in Alaska. He was very knowledgeable and we saw 6 whales.

In 2009, I enjoyed your Photo Safari very much. Next year, I would like to do it again and was wondering if I could skip the hike portion at Mendenhall and spend more time in the Visitor Center?

My husband and I will be traveling with my elderly parents. They are only able to walk short distances so we have rented companion chairs to make the cruise easier for them. Are the trails wheelchair accessible/capable for pushing wheelchairs? Also, if we go whale watching, is there somewhere to stow the folded chairs?

I know our cruise line delineated which excursions were and were not wheelchair accessible. Otherwise, I would check with the company directly about accessibility.
