This walk was great with my grandmother, it was beautiful and easy. There are clearly marked paths and a great visited center. Best way to see the glacier if you don't want a 10 mile hike.

I remember when Nugget Waterfall emerged from under the weight of Mendenhall Glacier some 30+ years ago! As a Juneau resident, I walked out there often in all kinds of weather and all 4 seasons. Now when I visit, it's still a favorite place to...More

Nugget Falls are beautiful and located within easy access to downtown Juneau. I did some stretching and yoga in the area in from of the falls. Many people have stacked up stones, creating wonderful images, along with the beauty of nature! Gorgeous!

We walked down the trail and got to see this beautiful waterfall from up close. We could fee the spray on our skin! Very cool experience!

The falls are a 20 minute walk from the Visitor's Center Once there, the sound of the water falling with the spray in your face is truly refreshing. The area is easy to navigate and does not require any special hiking skills. Should bring you...More

At the end of the trail you get two bangs for your walking buck. Nugget Falls and a close up of the Glacier. You can walk right up to the falls so if you are carrying camera gear remember there is spray in the air...More

This is only a short walk from the visitors center and easy for most people. Keep your eyes open to see some of the local wide life. We did a black bear going for a morning walk. So much water flowing over that it was...More

An easy hike of approximately 45 minutes round trip. Slightly hilly but paved wide walkways. Nuggets Falls is huge waterfall next to the glacier. You stand on the beach at the bottom of the Falls and enjoy the immensity and power of nature. Great photo...More

We took the hike to Nugget Falls and it was well worth the effort to get there. It is a flat path that leads right to the mouth of the falls so you can take in all of its beauty.

You'll need some type of transportation, be it taxi, shuttle, rental car, or excursion to get to Mendenhall Glacier where Nugget Falls is. I recommend renting a car. For our party it was actually cheaper, plus we could do... More

The local bus goes right from the dock, frequent and inexpensive. Taxi rides are good too, had 1 driver do a mini tour for about $50 of the area, lots of fun.
