You need good weather to enjoy. Watch out for bugs and bears. And there are some issues in access. Be careful.

We wanted to walk on the beach and relax. I found a nice rock to lean against and watched the Sockeye jumping in the water and families enjoying the water. Tucks drove on the beach and fishing gear, lawn chairs, dogs and happy people jumped out to enjoy the area.

Sat on the beach for about an hour near the mouth of the Kenai and watched the pinks jumping and skimming not 10 feet from shoreline on their way to spawn. The fish were jumping all around kids playing in the surf! And they were BIG! Most amazing..... The weather hit record highs the entire week we were there. The firewood was in full flame all across the Peninsula.…
