All the totems are within walking distance of the bus as is the carving area, native house and gift shop. Good tour to understand the various items carved in totems, how they are carved and for what reason.

The largest totem area in Canada - though the totems are replicas. Lots of tour groups going through and a short "forest" walk next to the car park. Visitor area with local woodcarvers.

This is a great place to relax and also learn about the culture of the native people. I loved the Totem Poles and Clan House and found this village extremely interesting. Very clean restrooms. Highly recommend.

Came here as the prime attraction of our Ketchikan tour and were impressed. Beautiful collection of totem poles with solid background info. Easily accessible even for outdoors, and there was a nice gift shop and public facilities. Good way to spend an hour in Ketchikan.

The Saxman native village was a highlight of my visit to Ketchikan. The designs on the totem poles were both beautiful and culturally significant; there is even a carver on site to explain how the work is conceived and finished. The friendly people on site...More
