We were independent travelers and there are lots better places to visit. There is a clan house, totem poles, and a totem carving display. But, we had to pay to go there but there are no interpretive signs and you cannot enter the clan house...More

The village is situated about 10-15 minutes drive from the main town of Ketchikan. There is a very interesting video about the historic origins of the area and then a short walk to the meeting place hut of the village. There you will enjoy music...More

Travel way back in time and see how totem poles got their start. You'll also see a working shop where poles are being constructed in front of your eyes depending on the time of day you go. Until you take a picture next to one...More

One of our Princess Cruise excursions. Short bus ride through Ketchikan to this Totem village. Even though it was mostly raining while we outside learning about the native totem poles, it was still an enjoyable experience. The lodge and dancing were interesting and the talk...More

I learn a vast amount of knowledge while on this tour. The culture and craft of the native Indian people. Always thought that being on the bottom of the pole was a bad thing but now, I know different. Great free visit.
