This trip truly was a getaway for us. I still can't believe we had five incredible days with such beautiful scenery and the peace and quiet that comes from being removed from the hustle and bustle of work and our daily lives. The cool weather was very enjoyable and after returning to the 100-degree heat of Texas I seriously considered... More

The Gatlins were repeat guests and we were honored that they choose Kodiak Adventures Lodge as their destination for their anniversary getaway. We have had many guests come and celebrate special occasions like, birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and even a wedding. We love to help make them special and it is as much a pleasure for us as it is for them.... More

Larry, Shelly and the boys provide an amazing experience customized for the maximum client experience. From the moment we arrived via float plane, we felt welcome. The weather was gorgeous, fishing was fun and productive even though we are greenhorns when it comes to fishing. The food is out of this world; Shelly is a gourmet cook that makes some... More

My week in Kodiak was all that I ever hoped it would be or could ever expect. The hospitality of the people of the region ie: float plane, hotel, restaurants, airport, was truly something to recognize. Larry & Shelly only enhanced that feeling. For those who have had small horizons this truly is something to behold. The plane ride to... More

Larry Carroll and his family (wife Shelley and sons James and Samuel) provide a one-of-a-kind life experience in Kiliuda Bay in Kodiak, Alaska. You arrive to the lodge by float plane from Kodiak City which is a tremendous experience in itself. Larry allows you to put together your own program of activities which for us included full days of bay,... More

After a fantastic experience in 2011, my business partner and I returned this summer and brought both our fathers and teenage sons for a week of fishing. The weather wasn't great, but the fishing and the hospitality were outstanding. Larry, Shelly and the boys were wonderful hosts. It is so different fishing and staying with the owners of the lodge.... More

My father, brother, and I visited mid-June 2012. The trip starts with a nice Beaver float plane ride to the lodge. The scenery and isolation are worth the trip alone. The hike/climb to the summit behind the lodge is an interesting way to stretch one's legs (caution-it's steeper, longer, and bushier than it looks!).The lodge, rooms, and boat are clean... More

My husband and I experienced the magic of Kiluida Bay with Larry and Shelly Carroll and family. Fishing was spectacular, Larry was very patient with two novice fishermen, the Halibut and Bass were so much fun to catch. Alfer a long day of fishing, the meals Shelly prepared were beyond fantastic, and the lodge and rooms were very comfortable. The... More

Being that this was my first time ever on Kodiak island , I could not have a better facility to go with. Larry and Shelly have a first class lodge set in some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. The fishing was a real treat with salmon, halibut, black rockfish, and cod caught. The wildlife was there... More

My friend and I stayed and fished with Larry at Kodiak Adventures Lodge in early June and had a blast. The lodge is rustic and plain but the people are warm, friendly, and extremely accomodating. The water in Kiluida Bay is protected and so we had no chop and very little wind so it was easy fishing. The best part... More
