The Sapa Sisters is a website that connects expats, backpackers and travellers with local Hmong in the Sapa-area. It aims to establish a direct link between guides and people that are about to visit Sapa to empower the young Black H'Mong women and give them a reasonable pay for their skilled services. All the guides speak English and have long experiences working as guides. Sapa Sisters, a social enterprise owned by local guides!

We LOVED our tour with Sapa Sisters. It is a semi-private tour, my friend and I had our own guide, but we often ran into other groups along the way who we would chat and hike with. Our guide, Zu, spoke great English, and was...More

Can't speak highly enough of this trek. Our guide Su was fantastic. Spoke good English, she was fun and very knowledgable. She offered us easy or hard trekking options. Took us to her village where we enjoyed a traditional lunch with her family. Highly recommend...More

We did the 2 days, 1 night trip with a group of 4 friends with Sam who was our guide. The trek/hike was definitely difficult (sometimes even a little dangerous) even for a fairly active person such as myself. If it has rained recently, trekking/hiking...More

My friend and I went on a 2 day 1 night trek. Be prepared - the terrain is horrendously muddy at the time of year we went. Once you get used to the fact you're probably going to fall over and your outfit isn't going...More

Notwithstanding the wet weather and muddy, slippery track the whole experience was fantastic. Our guide, Ru, was really informative and a credit to her employer and her family. Ru's suggestion of hiring gum boots was a real big help. Although only a day trek we...More

We trekked in late January and runners were completely fine. We didn't want to be carrying heavy boots for the rest of our trip. It was a little slippery in parts but our shoes weren't a problem.

Hi, You are best to email / call Sapa sisters directly. You will arrive early in the morning on your train and will want to have it organised beforehand if you plan on starting your trek that morning. All the best, Steve
