We organized a visit in Romania during the fiest week of January and apart from the amazing nightlife in Bucharest, the old town of Sighisoara was the hing we enjoyed most. The citadel is extemely well preserved, you can basically experience middle age living in...More

Sighisoara was simply amazing. It has a medieval architecture that has been preserved for hundreds of years and it is also supposedly the birthplace of Count Dracula! The German influence in architecture is very evident in Sighisoara and it makes you feel like you have...More

Sighisoara is well worth the trip to experience a living example of a medieval town that is mostly unspoiled with the modern trappings of tourism. The Clock Tower has interesting exhibits on each floor and visitors are permitted to see most everything, including the clockworks...More

A 2 hr , 23 lei bus ride from Brasov brought us to this lovely medieval town on a cold October morning. This Unesco heritage site has everything- winding, cobbled (and slippery) streets and alleys, towers, turrets, burgher houses, ornate churches, steep stairways, colourful houses,...More

• Stroll through the medieval citedal • There are two churches, city hall, two tower and the clock tower, little shops sell wood crafts ,plus the stoned roads, it's a real beautiful views and worth the 100 steps up there.

My favourite place I visited while in Romania. The main entrance walking into the citadel is like walking back in time and is unadulterated. The steep cobbled streets are beautiful but can be a little challenging to walk on especially if you have limited mobility....More

In the summer time is the best to visit the city but in the winter is also very good. You can walk on the little streets and stop at coffee shops and have a nice conversation with the locals. enjoy :)

Sighisoara is one of the most authentic medieval cities you can find and even though it's small, it is a must-see. It's quiet and relaxing and you'll get a good trip back in time.

This is beautiful ! And it is almost visible from almost every corner of the city. The wooden figures on the clock tower had stood from centuries back, isn't it amazing ? We simply love it.
