A very small museum as it's part of the Clock Tower, History Museum for only 24 Lei per person. But it's gruesome with the hangman's noose, chopping block and executioner's sword, the various iron and steel contraptions for breaking hands, fingers and legs. All in a dark dungeon beneath the Clock Tower, truly medieval and disturbing.

We enjoyed a visit to Sighisoara Torture Museum. It's quite small but definitely unique! Lots of dark rooms, dungeons and grisly instruments of torture! Spiky chairs, mace, racks and stuff you'd hardly believe people were capable of imagining. I'm surprised at the mixed reviews here but I guess it's not to everyone's tastes. We thought it was curious and interesting... More

Models show how the torture tools were used. It is amazing how they have managed to amass all the torture tools.

Visited as a group ticket with the clock tower as I would have been disappointed to pay for this alone. One small room with a few old torture devices and not much else.

not very impressing but still can feed the curiosity. they have 2-3 authentic objects but most of the objects inside are recently done. It is interesting reading the type of tortures applied at that ancient time.

This is a ripoff if you paid separately for this imo. It's one tiny little room with a few torture instruments. This should have been included in the main clock tower admission. If you are going to see the weapon collection then get the tick that includes all three (clock tower, weapon collection, and torture museum) as you basically get... More

Not much to see really. It is a little bit confusing, people think it is the entrance to the Clock Tour.

There isn't much to see in there. Some torture devices that are not well kept or preserved. The writings about the devices on the other hand are nice.

Just one room with a rack in it in and a couple of smaller displays. Keep the few Lei for a coffee or something, maybe set fire to the notes, much more fun. Wondered if the torture was for the visitors. Struggle to understand the really positive reviews. The best part was the ticket area and the international swop which... More
