About
Snoopy Island, because it resembles the cartoon dog lying on its back, is a small rocky island floating off the coast of Fujairah in Al Aqah. You can try to swim to the rock from the private hotel beach (for a fee), or the public beach side—though the latter may only be possible when the tide is low and waters are calm.
You can book a snorkeling tour of Snoopy Island which may also include other water activities like kayaking, diving, and standup paddleboarding in Fujairah.

We stayed at a lovely hotel locally named Royal Beacg and took their restort boat over to snoopy island. We loved the experience and saw a few different types of fish - we were happy with this as we really love snorkelling but was a shame we couldn’t see any turtles or sharks etc. but we enjoyed it nevertheless! The sea was also very warm and lovely!

A brilliant place to visit. Go early so you beat the late morning crowds. The swim across from public beach is great. Not too far. Bring your own equipment as the resorts can be quite expensive. Lots of fish and Turtles.

Went for one night for snorkelling and mountains. Boats and kayaking was off limits as too windy which meant the sea life were around as no boat traffic. We borrowed life jackets from the lovely Royal M hotel and swan over with snorkels as this is what we came for.
I had the incredible experience of seeing a large slow moving Sand bar shark passing slowly right in front of me! In 3 ft deep water. I may have attracted him as my bright gold watch may have caught his eye? I was in disbelief at what I saw and didn’t panic just made sure he kept going past and decided it was time I headed back to the beach asap. I found my daughter and made the ten minute swim back to beach. We also saw the beautiful parrot fishes, starfish and many smaller colourful fish and loads of huge Black Sea urchins in the shallow reef by the island. Beach side the reef is very shallow 3 ft deep. I ventured round the back the water was deep with low visibility and very windy so quickly came back to the safety of the shallow reef.
The hotel was excellent with a clean sandy beach with life guards. The drive there was scenic passing sand dunes camels and mountains.

I could not fault this resort. The food was fantastic and the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and modern with beautiful soft towels. The infinity pool was brilliant and a cocktail bar ( alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks ) surrounds it - so you could have a dip and a drink overlooking the fantastic snoopy island. You could have a massage on the beach which was like heaven ! The sand is silky and soft and the sea clear as a bell. Lots of snorkeling and swimming :) It is a family friendly place . I had an apartment overlooking the beach and the sunsets were stunning. It felt like heaven on earth and I would highly recommend :)

Swam out to snoopy island from the public beach side. There were globs of tar floating everywhere in the water.....which got stuck in my hair, my snorkeling mask and my bathing suit. I was so dissapointed, because otherwise the reefs were beautiful, with clear water and lots of tropical fish in the reefs. The tar was impossible to avoid and i had to get out of the water after 7 mins or so because it was all over my snorkel mask. Had to throw away my gear, flip flops and new bathing suit as they were covered in tar stains.

We were in UAE for 11 days - primarily in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and took a day trip over to Fujairah. We had a fantastic day. The drive from Dubai was easy and the scenery was beautiful (we had a rental car). The mountains were amazing!
We stopped at Al Bidya Mosque (fast, nice visit - you do have to wear full garb, but they gave us things to put on) then on to Sandy Beach Hotel and Resort. I chose that facility because it is *directly* across from Snoopy Island - the day pass was very reasonable also. The views and beach were lovely. The resort is older, but very clean and well kept. We had the beach to ourselves most of the day! I think all the people staying there were out touring as they seemed to return near 4-5 pm in the afternoon.
Beach bar and restaurant kept us fed and watered all day.
It was a perfect day away from the heat of Dubai - we loved it here!

My friends and I drove all the way from rak to the island just to be rudely greeted by the person at the gate. He also said only “couples and family” can access this area. Which I find is absurd as this is not mentioned anywhere on the internet and besides I feel it’s just weird that they make it this way. Truly disappointing.

Which beach is the best for camping in Fujairah ??

I would say the best for camping is the open beach next sandy beach and resort, it is a very popular camping spot due to the beautiful sunrise. you should try camping there it is worth checking out.

Hello. I am going to Fujairah with my husband and brother-in-law this weekend and we are wanting to do some snorkeling. I have heard that snoopy island has some of the best snorkeling in the area. Is there a place to rent snorkel gear nearby? Do you have to have access to the hotel beach to get to the island or is there a public beach that we can use?
Thanks!

If you search for "Fujairah Beach Camping" on Google Maps it will take you to the public beach :-)
