For Garden fans

We had a couple of relaxing hours being amazed at the wonder of just what can be grown to create such beauty by such dedicated gardeners.

Having last visited this garden in January 2015 there have been a number of social changes and improvements as per last time the standard of maintenance is exemplary. The overall layout remains the same brilliant presentation of different styles and designs. Most of the work in this garden as profound by the owner Alan Trott who is an amazing talented... More

Obviously wouldn't be good on rainy day but otherwise a lovely area to visit. Has a chapel. Well planned and lovely in spring especially

You need to pick your time to visit. On a grey September day it is a bit drab and boring. We found it quite expensive for what it was. However it would be an excellent place to attend a function or a wedding

It is difficult not to give this garden an excellent rating though as far as ratings go...what is a rating? This was the first garden in New Zealand that I visited of the ones that I have visited that had Butterflies fluttering in it. And thats a grand bonus. This created a whimsical atmosphere as one stood at the gate... More

Trott's garden is absolutely beautiful! With every turn a pleasant surprise greets you - every "garden room" from the funky red garden to the cleverly sculptured knot garden and the expansive herbaceous border has you gasping in awe. This garden is outstanding in every way. Alan Trott explained the history of the garden and was very accommodating letting us through... More

I went to a wedding here on Saturday, wow what beautiful gardens, totally spotless. The chapel was beautiful, seated approx 50 people, very relaxed setting. Although I have recommended it for families, it is a garden without a playpark etc, well not that I full see, but it's nice if they want a walk and to get some fresh air.
