Mahay's Jet Boat Adventures is a family owned business that has been in operation for over 30 years. We are located approximately 2 hours north of Anchorage, just 14 miles off the Parks Highway, on your way north to Denali National Park or Fairbanks. There are 3 different tours that you can choose from, with varying lengths and adventure, each offering something different. All trips include our 1/4 mile nature walk where Naturalists will talk with you about the early settlers in the area (the Dena'ina Indians and trappers)and show how basically and rustically they lived with the authentic replications of their dwellings. Our premier trip is the Devil's Canyon Tour where you will be able to experience Class V whitewater in the 45' jet boat, all while staying safe, dry and comfortable. There is also the Three Rivers Tour, where you will travel on the Chulitna River. This river is a braided river which offers a unique and picturesque experience. Alaska is one of 4 areas in the world that has an extensive braided river system.

Our schedule did not allow for time to do the longer boat ride into Devils Canyon, so we opted for the shorter trip up the Susitna River. Our guide was wonderful. The trip was beautiful and educational as well.

We enjoyed the three rivers trip with some good information on the rivers and those who live along them. We saw some bald eagles, and a mum moose with her new calf. The stop off for the tour of the trappers cabin was interesting. Both...More

I had great expectations about this tour but it was a disappointment. If you haven't seen a bald eagle, then you might find this interesting - as it was the only wildlife visible on the trip. There was very little content to talk about on...More

Beautiful way to see more of the area. Beautiful scenery. Very fun and knowledgeable staff. If had more time would take the rapid tour.

Thanks to Alice and the driver Robert! This is not like any jet boats I have been in before. This is a covered boat that comfortably seats about 30 people. There are sliding windows and a rear outdoor viewing platform so you can enjoy the...More

4 of us went and thoroughly enjoyed the trip up to Devil's Canyon. Israel our pilot was very good explaining things along the way, stopping for baby moose and a bear that was fishing from a side stream. His skill handling the boat was evident...More

This picturesque boat ride offers visitors the opportunity to see bald eagles(nest) and Mountains along the Susitna river which will embrace you. Our landing spot was at an Athabascan camp site which featured furs, means of the way the peoples lived. It was quite interesting...More

Yes you can. If you desire, you can leave them on the boat while doing the land portion of the trip. The pilot of the boat stays with the boat, so you can have some degree of security.
