I was crusing for two weeks on the Paul Gauguin and booked this trip independently through Ato Lissant. Originally he told me that he needed at least 8 people and that I should find 6 more by posting on the web. I was sceptical, I posted on Cruise Critic for our itinerary and fortunately we got enough people. Ato took... More

In January, we were very fortunate to book a snorkling adventure with Ato. During the plannng stage, all of our emails were answered thoroughly, and we appreciated his attention to details about the half-day trip. We were taken to a gorgeous little paradise, the Blue Lagoon, where we were treated to sightings of black-tipped sharks and gorgeous tropical fish swimming... More

Extraordinary 3 hour snorkel expedition out to one of the most beautiful coral gardens. Great guide who was so into our safety as well as the quality of our experience. 30 minutes high speed from Rotoava pier to the site. Glorious SAFE snorkeling experience in waters from 2 feet to 50-ish. Probably the best snorkeling I've ever done. Pristine waters/great... More

This is an incredible area for snorkeling! We saw more unusual fish and beautiful coral in one day here, than in many Caribbean sites combined. We also swam with black tipped sharks for the first time. They were small, but still...:) Our lunch and drinks at the lagoon were delicious, authentic, plentiful and filling. A beautiful day in the sun... More

Our guide "Frank" (seem to remember hearing that he's Ato's son [?]) knew the atolls like the back of his hand. And the Blue Lagoon easily surpassed our expectations. Beyond the great snorkeling (both in the lagoon and later outside the reef), there was a lunch "to die for." Coconut bread made and baked there on the beach. Grilled Mahi... More

But here's where you absolutely wanna go, but it may take some research cuz it's been 10 years since we were there shooting a commercial. Ask around for John Rere, he owns a black pearl farming company and it'll kinda blow your mind if you can weasel you way into his good graces enough he'll let you go out on... More

This will not be your normal review. First, Ato and his crew were absolutely fabulous - - the snorkeling was wonderful, the lunch was great, the people outgoing and professional. The tour would have been a 100 if it wasn't for the inconsideration of one of our group. Knowing that her husband suffered from dementia, a woman brought him along... More

We booked a dive through the internet and agreed on a pick up time. They were exactly on time. The gear they provided was in great condition. Sebastian was our guide/instructor. He was very professional, kept checking on us and lent assistance when needed. Our group was small, only 5 divers. Sebastian took us to a great dive site and... More
