This was one of the best day trips we did on our trip to Alaska. The boat holds 140 passengers but we only had 40 on board so there was plenty of room to move both inside and out on the deck. The captain gave...More

This cruise was an all day thing, and I thought I might get bored, but it was awesome! We were fortunate, as it was a sunny nice day, so we sat out on the deck. Saw seals, sea otters and puffins. Also got to see...More

The Columbia leaves at 11:00. We took the Meares which leaves at 10:00 I suggest you arrive a half hour or so early. If you are staying in Valdez, this is easy since everything is within a short walking distance of the dock.

i use a Canon SX60 with a 65x Optical zoom lens. The better your zoom the better photos of wildlife you will get in Alaska.
