This is a nice museum! It has many artifacts from the early days of Alaska. I really enjoyed the exhibit for the old town of Valdez that was destroyed by the earthquake in 1964.

We enjoyed visiting both museums. Right price too. Love the aviator's section, the miner's exhibition, and the video n old Valdez replica were intriguing. Well worth the $8 fee for both museums.

The museum has a wonderful model display of the original townsite that shows what it looked like prior to the 1964 earthquake that devastated the town. Movie was excellent.

There was a lot to see in this relatively small museum, so give yourself enough time to thoroughly visit, at least an hour or more. Particularly interesting was information on the Exxon Valdez oil spill and 1994 earthquake.

We only had an hour and needed more time to do the place justice. They opened up for our group on Sunday prior to our water tour. Historical perspective of the oil spill and the damage done.

This small museum has exhibits about Valdez history, the 1964 earthquake and the oil spill. As part of a tour we only had a short time there, we needed more time.
