Had a chance while in Wrangell to stop and take in the Wrangell Museum. We enjoyed the amount of exhibits they had and it was well done and friendly staff.

This museum is the best place to start when arriving in Wrangell. There is a tremendous amount of history on display here. As well as information on all Wrangell has to offer. Great jump off point!!

For cruise ship passengers, this is an easy, level, 10 minute leisurely walk with some benches along the water close to the Bob's IGA. Get your bearings from the ship. It's off to the right in a building that it shares with the visitor center....More

Not really a museum person but I did enjoy this one! The video is well worth watching and the gift shop had some great presents. Also I loved the colourful bear statues outside.

Great museum, especially for a small town - highly recommend it! The gift store has a great selection of Alaskan books, too.

Very good local history museum, with lots of stuffed animals, and interesting exhibits. Attached to the Visitors Centre, so a good one-stop shop.

This museum includes a history of Wrangell and of the Alaska natives who first settled there. The native artifacts are stunning and include beaded clothing and totem poles. Very much worth the time to go through.
