We stopped by on a Wednesday as we were told that is a Free Day (we still made a donation!) The local volunteer guide was extremely well informed and gave us a lot of sideline tidbits about many of the articles on exhibit, i.e. who used it, where it came from, the history of an item, etc. She kept us... This musemn had many historical items regarding this area. On Saturdays they had some merchants selling home made products, that were worth buying.

Found this spot while geocaching in the area. Really interesting place, and the volunteers are informed and helpful. Places like this need to be maintained. Take some time and look around. Great spot to inform kids and grandkids about the past.

It's time to get it out in the open. I visit weekly since I attend the Farmer's and Artisan Market that is held every Saturday 8 am to noon.The Quilt shop is another little jewel in town. We enjoyed our self guided tour though this museum. The volunteers are friendly. I especially like the quilt museum in the out building. Clean, good prices and friendly volunteers.

See Benson's past. This quaint little museum will take you back into the history of Benson, Arizona. It is located in a 1920's mercantile building just one block off the main drag. You will find varied displays of life in this railroad town including the old horse drawn school bus. Worth the time to stop in while traveling through Benson.... More

Little Gem in Benson....The museum is located in a historic 1920's building that used to house the W.D. Martinez General Merchandise Store.
