Worth it

The price is reasonable, the tour was fun. You get to ride into the mine so this tour doesn't require a lot of exertion.

This isn't the first mine that we've toured, and the good thing is they are all different. Part of what makes this one so interesting is that our tour guide worked in the mine in the 60's and 70's before it shut down. His father and grandfather also worked in the mine. Well worth the time to better understand Bisbee.

Vinnie, our tour guide, did a wonderful job teaching the group about the workings of an underground mine. Vinnie's personal stories brought historic mining to life. The good, the bad, the funny moments, and the nightmares. No matter what your feelings about the extraction of resources from the planet, this is our history and in some areas, our present and... We did the Bisbee mine tour. It was very good. The guide was a former miner who was very knowledgeable and even showed us pictures of himself from 1975 when he was working in the mine. The only setback was it was a very large group and at times it was difficult to hear the guide. A microphone would have... More

Decided to stop in and check out the mine with some friends as we did a little motorcycle ride through Bisbee. Read a ton of reviews so why not. Best to call ahead and set up a reservation. Have times throughout the day. Reasonable pricing perfect for the whole family. You take a little train ride into the mine and... More

I went with my family when I was little. Recent visit was with my sister. We both enjoyed the tour. The tour guide was a miner there when the mine was active. I retained more of the information as an adult then as a child.

The Copper Queen Mine visitor center offers interesting displays showing the work conditions in the good old times of the mine. We did not take the trip tour in the mine itself. Very mineral exposures. All the exposed stones can be bought at decent prices.

Very interesting tour, ours was guided by a former miner. Hard to fathom how horrid the conditions were for the early miners. Does not endear one to PD or FM.
