Description:

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob...

Alcantara Vineyards is a dream venture created by Barbara and husband Bob to provide their family and partners the opportunity to live the dream of growing a vineyard community and winery. It was in cultivating the vineyards and embracing the land that Barbara and her family soon realized there was a bigger picture in this hidden treasure along the confluence of two rivers. You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 13,000 vines and offers 12 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings, which include vineyards, a grass picnic area, the Verde River and bald eagles flying overhead, you’ll find you are part of our community and family.

We enjoyed this winery after a water to wine rafting trip. Tasting these wines made an excellent end to a fun day. They have a fur baby hanging out and socializing with guests. The atmosphere was nice and the wines were good. We recommend stopping in for a taste. The road that you travel to get to the winery is... More

We spent a pleasant hour or so here taking pictures and drinking wine on the patio. Most of the vines had lost their leaves in late October, but enough remained for some pretty pictures. Our friendly server patiently explained the winery's history. A flight of five wines costs $10 and includes a free glass; if you have a two-for-one coupon,... More

Thank you for your review and support. I wish we could have better signage off the road, but we are restricted.... I could just say we are a hidden secret! More

We made an impromptu stop as we were staying in the area. We made it in time for the short wine tour which was informative. The wines were good for local and they certainly gave enough tastings for $10 (includes a keep glass). Some wines were definitely worth purchasing, which we did. The best part: it was lovely sitting outside,... More

I attended my cousin's wedding on the outside chapel grounds. It was just beautiful with the mountains and sun setting. The reception outdoors was comfortable. The tables and chairs set up nicely. Everything about it was done well.

We had the great fortune of visiting Alcantara Vineyards with friends of ours that were married there on the property 3 years ago. The facility is beautiful, the wines are exceptional - specially the reds. The Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Meritage were truly outstanding. We were able to meet Barbara, the owner - who is a delight - and she very graciously... More

Great wines in a lovely setting. Don't let the dirt road deter you- this place is worth it. The "Specialty Cheese" plate was fantastic, and made a wonderful accompaniment to the wine samples. The Zinfandel, Port, and "Grand Rouge VII" were terrific, and several bottles found their way home with us. Our whippet, Bella, was welcomed to join us on... More

It's hard to write a review about a Vineyard but here goes. The wine was great and there were plenty options to try. I am no wine connoisseur but I really enjoyed the wines I tried. The layed back, non snobby atmosphere was great! Our tasting server was attentive and easy to talk with but Ruth was an amazing hit... More

Beautiful winery with a lovely outdoor seating area. We enjoyed the wine very much. We visited twice, and we're disappointed in the service both times. The first time we arrived about an hour from their closing time, and they told us we would have to hurry because they had to catch a flight that day. We also had to listen... More

Oscar, Sorry you were rushed both times and had bad service, that's not what Alcantara Vineyards is about. If you visit us again please contact me and I will make sure to give you a tour and talk about the Verde Valley. We try to make everyone fell at home, and obviously we did not do that for you. Thanks... More

Beautiful place to grab a glass of wine and walk around the vineyard! They have a great selection of wines. My interest is in white wines so that is what I tried. We had cheese and got some baguettes of bread. It was a great ending to our tour of the vineyards.
