Great Golf Course...but the rough is too deep!

This is a country club type of course with very nice fairways and beautiful greens. The only problem I have is the first cut of rough is too deep. We spent entirely too much... read more

Great place for weekly golf and tournaments. Course layout and condition are excellent. It also has play it forward tees for seniors but the course is still challenging from those also. I recommend it for locals and visitors.

Have been playing here, not been here for a few months and noticed a significant difference, not in a good way. Greens are in very good shape, however, the sand was like cement, mowings grass clippings left overs all over the fairways , weeds everywhere, landscape all removed, high grass and holes, water and muddy areas with very poor irrigation and... This is a country club type of course with very nice fairways and beautiful greens. The only problem I have is the first cut of rough is too deep. We spent entirely too much time looking for balls just off the fairway because the grass was so deep it hid the balls. Other than that the layout is a variety... More

Perfect day, tee time was at 8am, had to rent clubs and buy balls but it's a great little course. Staff was very friendly and it was not expensive to play even with renting clubs.

Somewhat boring in that the holes are laid out fairly straight and flat. It's hard to lose a ball as there is very little in the way of trees or bush. Despite large areas that were dried out, the fairways and greens were in good shape. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff.

Haven't been to the Lakes course for a couple years. At that time they were pulling out lots of landscape so it did not look very good. We just figured they would be spiffing up the course. And now returning after a couple years, have found that it still looks very empty, needs landscape. It has bunkers that are muddy... More

Played Palm Valley several times while in the area for March/April 2015; great weekday deals Variety of tees for a variety of players; good practice facility Great clubhouse Very intermittent service from the cart gals; barely saw them once every 9 holes; not acceptable for a golf course of this quality Be warned, the rough is long, heavy and thick;... No marshal, no ranger....no one. Five hours and 35 minutes for a round of golf. Course doesn't even try to speed up play. It's not the slow players' fault. They'll play like knuckleheads til someone tells them to speed up. This course management doesn't care.

I hadn't golfed in four months so was quite rusty. The Fee is quite reasonable and the staff were helpful. The club was clean carts were in good shape the restaurant was clean and the food was typical on the run golf club food. The staff through out were helpful and pleasant.
