We enjoyed our stay at Kwantu in January 2020. The game drive was very enjoyable and informative. I also loved listening to the lions roaring at night. Unfortunately they do not offer Elephant experiences any more.

How is this a "sanctuary" when the elephants get ridden? Sad. These elephants should not be treated as objects.

This is a great place to visit. Very well organised and the thrill of walking with those elephants will stay with us forever.

I have visited Kwantu several times and taken many visitors there. Each time its been a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff, great hospitality and of course first class game viewing. At the price they charge, this is bargain.

When we came there two weeks ago we were told by the lady at reception of the hotel that the elephant sanctuary has been closed for more than a year! You can go on a game drive but that is it. Very disappointing to say the least.

i took a small group of Guests to Kwantu for a Elephant back safari...was so nice to see the Elephants being treated with Respect!!! ive sadly seen Elephants being slapped for being animal... but gladly not here. And to top it off for basically the exactly the same time spent on and off the Elephants it was half the price of the other 3 safari places ive taken Guests. Thanks to them more people may have the Pleasure of being high up with a view that is priceless:)

The staff was courteous and was happy to help with any queries. Very knowledgeable and able to answer many wildlife questions whilst still adding humour to a game drive. Amazing food, halaal friendly.

Firstly this is not a circus...these girls were rescued from a cull. I saw no whips or chains....Call me crazy but this seems to be a better life.
I have been to Thailand and that is where you see elephants mistreated. I have also travelled profusely around the world and not close minded to general animal mistreatment. These girls seemed happy and acted like cheeky teens, it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life feeding these majestic animals. I cannot comment on the rides as I do not personally agree with this. But for the special moments I experienced with feeding and bonding with them... I would highly recommend it!

The riding was fun but the feeding of them was even better. You have to be able to take tall steps up about 18 inches to climb the stan that you board the elephants from. They will take lots of pictures of you with your camera. I thought the ride would be longer but it was enough.
