Awesome Raptors

This is one of those must see attractions in Plettenbergbay. The birds are extremely well looked after. The boys really enjoyed the show.

We were driving from Plettenberg when we saw a sign to the Radical Raptors. Being very interested in raptors and rehabilitation of wild life we decided to pop in. This was a spur of the moment decision that led to such an interesting couple of hours. There were only four of us in the group that was being shown around... More

We visited Radical Raptors with our 4 year old daughter. What an amazing experience. The guide is so enthusiastic about caring for these birds and it is important to note that this is not a zoo. It is a rehabilitation center. The interaction with the birds was fantastic and the adults were just as excited and in awe as the... More

Fortunately I read TA reviews as I was not really interested in seeing caged birds . What a good experience. All the birds are injured or foundlings and the Falconer passionate about his feathered charges . Watching the owls alighting on ones fist is a first and the Eagles superb .

A wonderful experience. The centre is run by an experienced falconer and his brother. We had the falconer's brother, and boy did he know his stuff. Luckily there were only four of us in the audience so we had lots of fly-to-the-glove experience with the Little Owl and Barn Owl. You are given an enlightening commentary which doesn't drop in... The owner and his brother are such warm souls. There love of the birds is very apparent but the rate and number of releases into the wild is what really inspires. This is a sanctuary, not a zoo, not a money making scheme but trully a group of people doing something amazing for our wildlife.

Too be able to join these magnificent creatures in nature whilst learning interesting facts about them was an experience of a lifetime. Truly a must when in that area 👌
